Established in 1991 by current CEO & MD Mr. Sham Bendre mainly to cater to the needs of his clients to transport and deliver cargo/containers from port to port within India and to / from factories, these activities expanded into warehousing, stevedoring, survey, custom broking, forwarding, project cargo handling, NVOCC and export/import consolidation.
In May 2000 Interport acquired a Freight Forwarding NVOCC Company, further strengthening its core competence. INTERPORT is now a registered Multi-Modal operator, operating under own Bills of Lading.
Our Multi-Modal Transport Document (MTD) under registration number: MTO/DGS/216/2000 is registered with the Directorate General of Shipping (Ministry of Shipping & Surface Transport, India) and with FMC (Federal Maritime Commission) in USA. Our MTD is insured with IFFCO-TOKYO under the limited liability insurance clause.
We have established offices in major cities/ports in India with warehousing facilities including state of the art transport equipment to handle any cargo independently. We also have access to major international ports through our network and branch offices.

Our strength lies in our team of professionals, working at various offices in close co-ordination with each other. IGLL (Interport Global Logistics Gmbh) a JV was formed in July 2002 with it's headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, to expand the company's horizon further into Europe.
